Job summary

Paycom in Louisville, KY seeks a Therapeutic Behavior Support Specialist to assist with crisis prevention, intervention, and debriefing for clients in a Residential setting. The role provides one-on-one support and de-escalation during daily routines and leads trauma-informed interventions within the cottage environment.

You will coordinate with the client’s treatment team, supervise medication administration to ensure accuracy, and help maintain a safe, therapeutic milieu across cottages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Must become certified in CPR, First Aid, Safe Crisis Management; Defensive Driver’s training may be required.
• Valid and current driver’s license with insurable driving record required to transport clients when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support and crisis intervention to clients during daily routines.
• Lead trauma-informed interventions by role modeling and coaching residential staff.
• Conduct crisis evaluations and incident debriefing with clients as needed.
• Assist with supervised visitation on campus when required.
• Oversee medication administration across cottages to minimize errors.
• Collaborate with the school and external providers as needed.
• Participate in treatment team meetings and develop individualized crisis intervention strategies.
