Job summary

FosterAdoptConnect is seeking a Behavioral Interventionist to work one-on-one with children facing mental and behavioral health challenges. You will support emotional regulation, independence, and daily living skills through trauma-informed activities and role-modeling.

Position involves following individualized plans with supervision, engaging clients in activities, and working afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree, preferred.
• Experience working with elevated behavioral needs, preferred.
• Must be willing and able to perform safety holds on clients at immediate risk for harming themselves or others, following paid training.
• Must be able to navigate stairs, climb, twist, bend, and lift up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children to support emotional regulation and independence.
• Develop and follow individualized behavioral plans with supervision.
• Provide engaging activities and track progress during afternoon, evenings, and weekends.
• Maintain safety and professional boundaries with trauma-informed care.
