Job summary

A Safe Place in Lake County, IL is hiring a Behavioral Health Therapist III to provide assessments, treatment planning, therapy, crisis intervention, and case coordination for children, adults, and families affected by domestic violence and trafficking.

Reporting to the Associate Behavioral Health Clinical Director, you will manage a 20–25 client caseload, lead group therapy, and supervise interns while supporting therapist development across sites in Zion, Grayslake, Round Lake Beach, Lake

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in a clinical behavioral health field with LPHA qualifications.
• Independent licensure in Illinois (LCSW, LCPC, or equivalent).
• At least 3 years of post-graduate experience in behavioral health.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive behavioral health intakes and risk evaluations using trauma-informed frameworks.
• Provide individual and group therapy for survivors of domestic violence and trafficking.
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans with client goals and barriers.
• Offer clinical consultation on diagnosis, treatment planning, and crisis intervention.
• Maintain safety planning, crisis assessment, and telehealth options as needed.
• Foster survivor-centered, culturally responsive care and coordinate referrals.
• Ensure documentation in EHRs and support interns and therapists with supervision.
