Job summary

Safe Place in Illinois is seeking a Behavioral Health Therapist II to provide trauma-informed behavioral health assessments, individual and group therapy, and care coordination for survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking. The role requires a Master’s in a related field, QMHP eligibility, and involves travel to Zion, Grayslake, and Round Lake with a 20–25 client caseload and supervision of interns.

The position offers 40 hours per week with standard hours and on-call coverage.

Qualifications

• Master's in a clinically related behavioral health field and QMHP eligibility in Illinois.
• Provisional licensure including LPC or LSW
• 1+ years of post-graduate experience
• Bilingual English and Spanish preferred
• Ability to travel to different site locations throughout Lake County (Grayslake, Round Lake Beach, Zion)
• Must meet physical requirements and be able to travel across multiple sites

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments and intakes.
• Provide individual and group psychotherapy for survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans.
• Utilize trauma-informed, survivor-centered approaches and evidence-based practices.
• Carry an active clinical caseload and provide telehealth as needed.
• Coordinate care with internal departments and external partners.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with regulations.
• Provide culturally responsive services and support interns under supervision.
