Job summary

Family & Children’s Services Career Center in Norman, OK, seeks a Nurse Supervisor to support daily nursing operations in a 24-hour Behavioral Health Crisis Center. This role ensures trauma-informed, person-centered care and supervises shifts to maintain high-quality service.

The Nurse Supervisor will provide clinical guidance, supervise staff development, and assist in managing operations. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered to eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of active RN licensure with hands-on nursing experience.
• Minimum one year in a supervisory role; charge nurse experience counts.
• Experience working with clients with mental illness and co-occurring disorders or substance abuse preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and other healthcare regulations.
• Ability to deliver staff training and supervision.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adequate nursing coverage and supervision on all shifts.
• Provide direct nursing care on the unit as needed.
• Monitor and enforce established protocols and safety measures.
• Improve workflow for safety and efficiency.
• Maintain daily presence to assess staff and client interactions.
• Provide clinical consultation and crisis intervention.
• Oversee nursing student program and temporary assignments.
• Serve as interim Nurse Manager when needed.
