Job summary

Family & Children's Services in Norman, OK is seeking a Registered Nurse at the Crisis Care Center to provide comprehensive nursing care for individuals in acute mental health or substance use crises. The RN conducts physical and mental health assessments, administers medications, and supports crisis stabilization and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Oklahoma.
• ASN Required
• BSN Preferred

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe, therapeutic, and recovery-oriented environment in accordance with ODMHSAS standards and agency policy.
• Perform initial, ongoing, and comprehensive nursing assessments of clients’ physical and mental health status.
• Administer, monitor, and manage medications and prescribed treatments per orders and policies.
• Monitor psychotropic medication effectiveness, adverse reactions, and side effects, reporting concerns as needed.
• Serve as charge nurse when assigned and coordinate nursing activities for safe operations.
