Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System is seeking an RN to join the Trauma General Surgical Unit 8C in Boise. The unit is a fast-paced 32-bed inpatient area serving acute surgical and trauma patients, operating as a step-down unit with opportunities across specialties and a collaborative Together Care Team Model.

This role features self-scheduled nights, three 12-hour shifts weekly, and rotating weekends, with pathways to growth into Emergency Room or Critical Care through mentorship and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Current RN license required.
• ACLS and/or PALS may be accepted in lieu of BLS.
• Multistate licenses must establish residency with Idaho Board of Nursing within 60 days from hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care in collaboration with health care team during assessment, planning and treatment of patients and families.
• Promotes physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being while delivering hands-on care.
• Performs delegation, assessment, planning of care and teaching to patients and families.
