Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise is seeking a Nurse Apprentice for our Neuro Surgical Trauma Unit. You will care for post-operative and neuro patients, with a focus on compassionate, patient-centered support.

The unit features 18 critical care beds and 17 step-down beds. Work three 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) with flexibility for weeknights, weekends and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Maintain current Nurse Apprentice application on file with Idaho State Board.
• Basic Life Support certification required at hire in all units.
• Six months patient care experience in acute care preferred.
• Able to care for all age groups (Neonate to Geriatric).

Responsibilities

• Support unit staff by handling clerical, receptionist and patient service tasks.
• Provide nursing care and non-professional services under supervision of a licensed nurse.
