Atrium Health Specialty Network, Inc. in Concord, NC is seeking an Acute Care APP to manage care in the Acute Care Surgery/Emergency General Surgery setting. You will work with an interdisciplinary team, perform rounds, and contribute to trauma patient care.

The role requires NP or PA licensure, ACLS, ATLS, and ongoing certification. Weekend shifts apply, with a 40-hour work week and a competitive pay range of $51.05–$76.60 per hour plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited NP or PA program.
• Eligibility for state licensure as NP/PA.
• BLS and ACLS from AHA required; ATLS from ACS.
• Maintenance of Certification is required.
• Nurse Practitioners require a Master’s Degree in Nursing and Acute Care NP certification.
• Physician Assistants require a master’s degree and NCCPA certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs medical history, physical exams, routine assessments and determines treatment plan for general surgery and trauma patients.
• Independently rounds on pre- and post-operative patients, evaluates inpatient, emergent, and ICU consults.
• First assists in elective and emergency general surgery cases, including laparoscopic and open procedures.
• Train, precept, and mentor APP fellows, medical students, and PA/NP students.
• Document encounters and interventions in patient records; advocate for patients and families.
• Participate in quality improvement priorities and service delivery initiatives.
• Adhere to access, productivity policies, and care protocols for cost-effective care.
