Job summary

Atrium Health Navicent Medical Center in Macon, GA is seeking a PA or Acute Care NP to provide inpatient care for General Surgery and Trauma Surgery patients within a Level I Trauma Center. You will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and coordinate care as part of a collaborative team with surgeons and APPs.

The full-time, Monday–Friday role is 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with no nights, weekends, or on-call duties, supporting a busy inpatient service with an average census of around 15 patients

Qualifications

• Certified PA or Nurse Practitioner with acute care certification.
• Eligible for Georgia licensure.
• Strong clinical judgement and critical thinking.
• Thrive in a fast-paced hospital environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Passion for trauma and acute care surgery.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient care for General Surgery and Trauma Surgery patients.
• Conduct patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and coordinate care.
• Participate in daily rounding and multidisciplinary care discussions.
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, nursing staff, and ancillary teams.
• Manage patient admissions, consults, and follow-up care as appropriate.
• Ensure high-quality, evidence-based patient care and documentation.
