Job summary

Baptist Health Floyd in Southern Indiana/Louisville area is seeking a part-time Transporter to ensure timely, courteous transport of patients, specimens, equipment, and messages throughout the facility. Weekend coverage is required. Shifts are weekends only, biweekly 48 hours, 8:30 am to 9:00 pm, with premium pay for weekend hours.

A high school diploma and BLS certification are preferred; healthcare experience is a plus. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• BLS certification from approved BLS course required, will provide training.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients throughout Baptist Health Floyd via wheelchair, stretcher or bed.
• Transport specimens, equipment, messages and parcels as designated.
• Provide timely, courteous and competent transportation to support service excellence.

Baptist Health Floyd

Responsible for the timely, courteous, and competent transportation of patients throughout the Baptist Health Floyd facility via wheelchair, stretcher, or bed. Also transports specimens, equipment/supplies, messages, and parcels, as designated. Performs a variety of other support services functions as is needed to provide service excellence to patients, visitors and hospital staff.
