Job summary

Baptist Health Floyd in Southern Indiana/Louisville area is seeking a part-time Transporter. Work weekends only from 8:30am to 9:00pm, with premium pay for weekend hours. Responsibilities include transporting patients, specimens, equipment, and messages across the hospital, plus supporting staff and visitors.

EOE. Training for BLS provided. Located 10 minutes from downtown Louisville at 1850 State Street, New Albany, IN.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• BLS certification from approved BLS course required, will provide training.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients throughout the hospital via wheelchair, stretcher, or bed.
• Transport specimens, equipment/supplies, messages and parcels as designated.
• Perform additional support services to ensure service excellence for patients, visitors and staff.

Responsible for the timely, courteous, and competent transportation of patients throughout the Baptist Health Floyd facility via wheelchair, stretcher, or bed. Also transports specimens, equipment/supplies, messages, and parcels, as designated. Performs a variety of other support services functions as is needed to provide service excellence to patients, visitors and hospital staff.
