Job summary

Baptist Health Floyd Southern Indiana is seeking a Transporter on a PRN basis to move patients throughout the facility by wheelchair, stretcher, or bed. The role also transports specimens, equipment, and messages, supporting a safe, courteous patient experience.

Shifts and days vary, with opportunities to work in a regional non-profit hospital committed to education and service excellence. Prior healthcare exposure is preferred; BLS certification is required or provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• BLS certification from approved BLS course required, will provide training.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients throughout Baptist Health Floyd facility via wheelchair, stretcher, or bed.
• Transport specimens, equipment/supplies, messages, and parcels as designated.
• Provide other support services to ensure service excellence for patients, visitors and staff.

Also transports specimens, equipment/supplies, messages, and parcels, as designated. Performs a variety of other support services functions as is needed to provide service excellence to patients, visitors and hospital staff.
