West Bend Insurance Company is seeking a Transportation Underwriter to join our Commercial Lines Underwriting team. This role emphasizes relationship-building with independent agencies, underwriting new and renewal commercial transportation policies, and achieving profitability goals in a fast-paced environment.

We offer remote and hybrid work locations; candidates within 50 miles of West Bend, Wisconsin, may hybrid, while fully remote candidates may travel for in-person events.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new commercial business, renewal policies and endorsements for an assigned group of agencies.
• Evaluate exposures related to risks and mentor underwriters.
• Support profitability goals for the Commercial Enterprise Division and Regional Sales Manager.
• Develop action plans with agents to improve performance and written premium.
• Provide territory performance reports and leadership with risk and underwriting insights.
