Job summary

Amazon is hiring an Associate Learning & Development Trainer to deliver classroom, virtual, and hands-on training across the US and Canada. This DOT-regulated role focuses on safety, compliance, and operational excellence, shaping the Transportation network and developing Transportation Associates' skills.

You will lead onboarding, safety refreshers, and OTR training, coordinating with site leadership to sustain high standards.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent diploma.
• Class A CDL required.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
• 1+ years of verifiable CDL driving experience in the last 10 years.
• Eligibility to drive in accordance with DOT requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver standardized classroom, virtual, and hands-on training following established curriculum.
• Conduct comprehensive new hire onboarding covering yard safety, equipment operation, and Amazon policies.
• Provide continuous education programs including safety refreshers and operational updates.
• Deliver safe driving techniques and defensive driving principles for over-the-road training.
• Ensure compliance with DOT requirements through proper vehicle inspections and documentation.
• Train associates on route planning, navigation, and emergency response protocols.
• Execute yard safety observations and provide real-time coaching to Transportation Associates.
• Support yard operations during high-volume events through yard management and shuttling.
• Partner with site leadership to maintain safety standards and operational excellence.
• Maintain accurate training records including attendance, completion, and safety observations.
• Track and report training metrics while providing feedback on program effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with Amazon policies, safety protocols, and DOT regulations.
