Job summary

DRMP's Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) Division is hiring Transportation Technicians/CEI Inspectors to join our Raleigh-area group. You’ll perform complex field surveying, construction layout, inspect work, and conduct field tests, reporting to project leads.

Most positions will report to the field/project with a home office assignment. A valid driver’s license, 40-hour work week, and readiness for overtime are required; compensation ranges from $26.00 to $38.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 4+ years experience in construction inspection, including roadway/bridge work.
• AAS Civil Engineering Technology plus 2+ years experience; roadway inspection preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Complete required certification courses for structures projects.

Responsibilities

• Daily documentation of contractor’s work efforts.
• Prepare project field books and documentation.
• Density log book preparation and documentation.
• Conduct material sampling and testing.
• Assist with Final Estimates package preparation.
