Qualifications

• High school graduate with 4+ years experience in construction inspection, including roadway or bridge inspection.
• AAS Civil Engineering Technology plus 2+ years experience, with at least 1 year roadway construction inspection experience.
• Valid driver’s license with approved driving history required.
• Position requires a minimum of 40 hours a week with potential overtime (Hourly).
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

Responsibilities

• Daily documentation of the contractor’s work efforts.
• Project field book preparation and documentation.
• Density log book preparation and documentation.
• Material sampling and testing.
• Assist with Final Estimates package preparation.
• Measure distances to verify construction dimensions.
• Verify levels, alignment, and elevation of construction activity.
• Observe work to ensure procedures and materials conform to specifications.
• Record quantities of materials received or used; maintain daily construction/inspection logs.
