Schneider National is seeking a Transportation Team Leader in Manteca to oversee all inbound and outbound activities at a distribution center. You will lead a team of logistics associates while identifying, developing and executing continuous improvements for customers.

You will coach and mentor staff, manage the DC transportation budget, resolve transport issues and communicate actions to customers. This role requires onsite work and a focus on metrics and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in transportation, logistics or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 2-4 years of previous supply chain, logistics or transportation experience.
• Excellent leadership skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
• Able to work onsite at a warehouse.
• Able to lift up-to 50 lbs.

Responsabilités

• Coach and mentor a team of logistics associates.
• Manage the transportation budget for a distribution center, including reviewing all charges.
• Resolve all transportation and shipping issues and communicate actions taken with customers.
• Coordinate and implement continuous improvement processes.
• Build professional relationships with internal and external customers.
• Handle the reporting of performance metrics.
