Job summary

Schneider National in Fort Worth seeks a Transportation Team Leader to oversee inbound and outbound distribution center activities. You will lead a team of logistics associates and drive continuous improvements for customers.

The role requires strong leadership, at least 2-4 years in supply chain or logistics, and the ability to work onsite and lift up to 50 lbs. Eligible benefits include medical/dental/vision, life insurance, 401(k) with match, PTO and incentive pay.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in transportation, logistics or related field.
• 2–4 years of supply chain, logistics or transportation experience.
• Excellent leadership skills and strong written and verbal communication.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work onsite at a warehouse and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor a team of logistics associates.
• Manage the transportation budget for a distribution center and review charges.
• Resolve transportation and shipping issues and communicate actions to customers.
• Coordinate and implement continuous improvement processes.
• Build professional relationships with internal and external customers.
• Report on performance metrics.
