Job summary

Schneider National, Inc. in Fort Worth seeks a Transportation Team Leader to oversee all inbound and outbound activities at a distribution center, leading a team of logistics associates and delivering continuous improvement for customers.

The role requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent, 2–4 years in supply chain or logistics, strong leadership and communication, and onsite work. You will manage expenses, build client relationships, and report performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in transportation, logistics or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 2-4 years of previous supply chain, logistics or transportation experience.
• Excellent leadership skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
• Able to work onsite at a warehouse.
• Able to lift up-to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor a team of logistics associates.
• Manage the transportation budget for a distribution center, including reviewing all charges.
• Resolve all transportation and shipping issues and communicate actions taken with customers.
• Coordinate and implement continuous improvement processes.
• Build professional relationships with internal and external customers.
• Handle the reporting of performance metrics.
