Job summary

Schneider National, Inc. is seeking a Transportation Team Leader in Manteca, CA to oversee inbound and outbound activities at a distribution center. You will lead a team of logistics associates, manage the transportation budget, and drive continuous improvements for customers.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, 2-4 years in logistics, and strong leadership and communication skills. On-site work at a warehouse is required, with a starting salary based on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in transportation, logistics or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 2-4 years of previous supply chain, logistics or transportation experience.
• Excellent leadership skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
• Able to work onsite at a warehouse.
• Able to lift up-to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor a team of logistics associates.
• Manage the transportation budget for a distribution center, including reviewing all charges.
• Resolve all transportation and shipping issues and communicate actions taken with customers.
• Coordinate and implement continuous improvement processes.
• Build professional relationships with internal and external customers.
• Handle the reporting of performance metrics.
