Job summary

Fresh Del Monte Produce Inc. in Pittsburgh, PA, is seeking a Director of Transportation & Supply Chain Engineering to set the strategic direction for transportation and lead the Supply Chain Leadership Team.

The role focuses on transportation operations, carrier management, procurement, and network optimization to deliver service excellence and cost savings across the supply chain. This senior position requires 10+ years in transportation with at least 5+ years in management, plus expertise in

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in logistics or business, or related field.
• 10+ years of related experience with 5+ years in management.
• Expertise in transportation operations: truckload, LTL, rail, inter-modal, ocean.
• Experience with large-scale procurement and carrier contracts.
• Lean or Six Sigma process improvement experience.
• Strong Excel and Access skills; excellent communication.
• Experience managing outsourced logistics providers.
• Experience in Consumer Packaged Goods preferred.
• Masters degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute transportation and carrier strategies to optimize cost, service and network performance.
• Lead transportation procurement activities including carrier bids, negotiations, and sourcing.
• Establish carrier performance scorecards and governance.
• Oversee transportation capacity planning with carriers, 3PLs, and distribution centers.
• Provide data-driven analytics to support planning and continuous improvement.
• Build and mentor high-performing transportation and supply chain teams.
