Job summary

Core-Mark is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to lead day-to-day transportation operations, ensure timely delivery of goods, and supervise drivers for the OpCo. You will ensure DOT compliance and monitor fleet performance while implementing strategies to improve efficiency.

Strong leadership and logistics expertise are essential. The role emphasizes safety, operational efficiency, and quality service in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of transportation logistics, regs, and best practices.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Proficiency in transportation management software and route optimization tools.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance for transportation operations.
• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience.
• Valid driver's license required.
• 2–4 years transportation or related experience including knowledge of DOT and safety regulations; experience in computerized fleet management systems.
• 2+ years leading and supervising a team of 10–15 drivers.

Responsibilities

• Supervises associates including staffing, training, coaching, and performance management.
• Assists in scheduling and ensures deliveries and pickups are timely.
• Rides with drivers for training and evaluation.
• Supports day-to-day administration of transportation and delivery functions.
• Ensures DOT and OpCo regulatory compliance; reviews logs and expense reports.
• Monitors vehicle safety and safe handling practices; attends safety meetings.
• Tracks driver licensing, tickets, incidents, and safety data.
• Ensures accurate delivery and driver paperwork (invoices, logs, DVIRs).
• Oversees maintenance of trucks, tractors, and trailers.
• Helps minimize operating expenses and optimize delivery routes.
