Job summary

Core-Mark International in Ypsilanti, MI, is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to lead day-to-day logistics, ensure timely deliveries, and coach drivers.

The role requires strong leadership, knowledge of DOT regulations, experience with fleet management software, and a track record of improving efficiency while controlling costs.

This position offers a challenging, growth‑focused environment with a schedule Mon-Fri 9:30 PM–5:30 AM, travel up to 5%, and a base salary of $65k-$70k plus bonuses.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a clean MVR.
• 1+ year in transportation or related field with DOT knowledge.
• Experience leading a team of 10–15 associates.
• Experience with computerized fleet management systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff including staffing, training, coaching, and performance management.
• Oversee daily transportation and delivery operations; assist with payroll, logs, and reports.
• Ensure DOT compliance and driver safety, conduct safety meetings.
• Monitor drivers, routes, and paperwork such as DVIR and trip reports.
• Collaborate with Ops Manager to optimize routes and control costs.
