Qualifications

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record; CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, and mentor a team of drivers and transportation personnel.
  • Plan, organize, and dispatch routes for inbound and outbound shipments, optimizing for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Monitor driver performance, including adherence to schedules, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance (e.g., DOT).
  • Investigate and resolve transportation-related issues, such as delivery delays, damages, or customer complaints.
  • Maintain accurate transportation records, including driver logs, mileage reports, and vehicle maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local transportation regulations and company safety standards.
  • Collaborate with warehousing, inventory, and customer service departments to ensure seamless logistics operations.
  • Conduct regular vehicle inspections and coordinate maintenance and repairs to ensure fleet reliability.
  • Implement and enforce company policies and procedures related to transportation operations.
  • Participate in the hiring, performance evaluation, and disciplinary processes for transportation staff.

Oversees and coordinates the daily operations of a transportation team, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of goods while adhering to safety regulations and company policies.

Job Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and other logistics software.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.

In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.

Our Base Pay Range for this position $57,800 - $96,400
