TRANSPORTATION/SUPERVISOR (Finance)
Assist in overseeing and executing daily operations within the transportation department. Understand overall distribution, transportation, and store operations, with an emphasis on carrier supply chain programs to reduce product costs. Coordinate activities of third-party vendors. Responsible for the safety, productivity, and engagement of hourly associates, supporting transportation, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Minimum qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of experience in Transportation, Distribution, or Manufacturing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong understanding of D.O.T. compliance laws
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to changing priorities
- Strong time management and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to identify problems and develop effective solutions
- Proven coaching and training abilities
- Ability to collaborate and work cooperatively in teams
- Knowledge of industry and technical terms and processes
Desired qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 2+ years of experience leading teams or projects
- Experience supervising and developing non-exempt associates in daily operations
- Ability to maintain on-time deliveries with a positive, friendly approach
- Skills in building relationships across departments to coordinate schedules and deliveries
- Experience in implementing technology and procedural solutions to improve productivity and safety
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and managers for problem-solving and operational alignment
- Ability to maintain high standards of professionalism and foster a positive work environment
- Strong communication skills for team engagement and performance management
