Job Summary

Oversee the safe and efficient operation of the assigned MedTrans fleet, including proper maintenance, scheduling, and dispatching of vehicles and drivers. Ensure compliance with all state Department of Transportation (DOT) and Company regulations.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  1. Optimize daily routes and activities based on branch and fleet workloads as well as available customer order information.
  2. Ensure all drivers are properly trained according to MedTrans requirements.
  3. Ensure all equipment is properly maintained in accordance with the MedTrans vehicle maintenance policy.
  4. Recruit, hire, train, and discipline all drivers. Conduct regularly scheduled meetings with drivers as required by DOT and/or company policy.
  5. Lead day-to-day activities of employees. Assign, monitor, and review work progress, direct efforts, and provide technical guidance on complex issues.

Required Experience:

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Work Experience:

  • Experience managing and dispatching drivers and using routing software.
  • At least 2 years of experience coaching, mentoring, and training staff.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Transportation Costing and Motor Carrier Operations.
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, including common functions such as formatting, inserting, and editing documents.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 75 lbs; able to stand for 8 hours per day for up to 6 days a week.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $67,080.00 - $97,240.00 annually. Actual salary varies based on location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is eligible for bonuses and incentives. Medline will not pay less than the minimum wage or salary threshold applicable.

Our benefits include health insurance, life and disability coverage, 401(k), paid time off, among others, for employees working 30 or more hours per week on average. For less than 30 hours, benefits include 401(k), Employee Assistance Program, Employee Resource Groups, and Employee Service Corp.
