Amazon Transportation Specialist at NOC coordinates the flow of information between warehouses, category teams and carriers to resolve issues impacting customer experience and business continuity. This role works across Inbound operations to plan freight for delivery in warehouses as per appointment times.

Job description

A Transportation Specialist at NOC facilitates flow of information between different stakeholders (Warehouses/Category teams/Carriers) and resolves any potential issues that impact customer experience and business continuity. Transportation Specialist at NOC works across Inbound operations. Inbound Operations deals with Vendor/Carrier/FC relationship, to plan the freight for delivery in warehouses as per given appointment time. Transportation Specialist on Inbound addresses any potential issues occurring during the lifecycle of forecasting to actual delivery of the appointment.

Key job responsibilities

A Transportation Specialist provides timely resolution to the issue in hand by researching and querying internal tools and by taking real-time decisions. An ideal candidate should be able to understand the requirements/be able to analyze data and notice trends and be able to drive Customer Experience without compromising on time. The candidate should have the basic understanding of Logistics and should be able to communicate clearly in the written and verbal form.

About the team

NOC Inbound Team manages and owns the end to end execution of vendor’s/seller’s shipment inbounding process. This includes Appointment scheduling & prioritization, Appt sidelining and rescue, Appt modification etc and other related process/tasks across IN and ECCF countries.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative/technical field such as computer science, engineering, statistics
• Experience with Excel
• Bachelor's degree, or experience in written and oral communication, including the ability to communicate with all levels in the organization (technical, business, executive)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading prioritization of tasks, team scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines
