Job summary

This role governs the full safety lifecycle—from program development and training implementation to incident management and regulatory compliance—and aims to build a culture of behavioral safety across drivers, attendants, and staff. You will manage safety staff, track metrics, investigate incidents with a focus on zero incidents, and ensure all procedures align with FMCSA,

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional safety management experience in transportation.
• Deep knowledge of FMCSA regulations, OSHA/DOT standards, and pupil transportation laws.
• Strong communication and leadership skills for training and supervising staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety meetings and field observations; maintain a culture of safe practices across roles.
• Oversee incident and accident management; conduct root-cause investigations and post-accident procedures.
• Coordinate driver credentialing, DOT testing programs, and compliance documentation.
• Oversee training programs for drivers and attendants; ensure accurate record-keeping and audit readiness.
