Job summary

Zūm is seeking an experienced Safety Supervisor to lead safety operations at our Philadelphia, PA location. This role covers program development, training implementation, incident management, and regulatory compliance to ensure a zero-incident, safety-first environment for students and employees.

You will manage safety staff, drive behavioral safety, and establish best-in-class standards to keep drivers and attendants safe while delivering reliable mobility services.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of safety management in transportation.
• In-depth knowledge of FMCSA regulations and pupil transportation laws.
• Commercial Driver's License required.
• Knowledge of DOT, FMCSA parts 382, 391, 395 and state school bus standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead Safety Culture initiatives, conduct toolbox talks, and reinforce safe practices.
• Serve as on-site lead for incidents; manage post-incident procedures and investigations.
• Maintain driver credentials (CDL, school bus permits, endorsements) and DOT/DQ files.
• Oversee training programs for drivers and attendants; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Audit-ready documentation and records; track safety metrics and corrective actions.
