Job summary

CRST The Transportation Solution, Inc. is seeking a transportation-safety trainer to deliver orientation and ongoing safety education for independent contractors, agents, and internal teams.

You will review inspections, incidents, and safety data to identify trends, then promote and apply best practices across the operation. You will lead field observations, do safety evaluations, and coordinate follow-up actions with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with DOT/HOS regulations and

Qualifications

• Experience in transportation safety, fleet operations, regulatory compliance, or a related field.
• Experience with open deck load securement and oversized freight requirements.
• Ability to review safety information, identify risks, and recommend actions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safety orientation, recurring training, and educational programs.
• Review inspections, incidents, and safety information to identify trends and improvements.
• Communicate safety requirements and coordinate follow-up activities.
• Conduct safety observations, ride-alongs, and field assessments.
• Inspect equipment, loads, securement, yards, and facilities for safety concerns.
• Maintain training, inspection, and compliance documentation.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Compliance, and contractors to promote safety.
• Provide guidance on open deck cargo securement and oversized loads.
• Support Gold Standard safety performance through education and continuous improvement initiatives.
