Job summary

KCI Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead QA activities on VDOT transportation and infrastructure projects in the Washington, DC area. The role reports to executive management and requires independent work from construction teams.

You will develop QA plans, oversee inspections, ensure MOI compliance, sign off on reports, and coordinate with contractors, testers, and field staff while maintaining records and communicating results to leadership.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of relevant experience with a High School Diploma or GED or 10 years with a Bachelor's Degree in relevant field.
• Proven experience in project management roles, with a track record of successful project delivery.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to construction management, quality assurance, and safety protocols.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute the Quality Assurance Plan for project compliance.
• Oversee QA inspection and testing for all project elements.
• Ensure materials and work are tested and documented per MOI and project specifications.
• Validate and sign off on QA reports, daily inspection reports, testing results, and NCRs.
• Ensure accurate recordkeeping.
• Provide weekly and monthly QA summaries for internal leadership and clients.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for QA matters.
• Conduct and participate in field audits, reviews, and third-party assessments.
• Monitor contractor compliance with safety, environmental, and construction standards.
