Job summary

Bolton & Menk, Inc. seeks a Transportation Project Manager (PE) in North Carolina to lead design teams and advance our transportation practice. You will cultivate client relationships, manage highway design projects, coordinate with DOT, counties, and cities, and mentor junior staff.

We require a BS in civil/transportation engineering, a North Carolina PE license, 6+ years of highway design experience, and strong leadership and communication skills. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or transportation engineering required.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in North Carolina required.
• 6+ years of highway design experience.
• Experience with DOT design standards and AASHTO Green Book.
• Experience mentoring staff and leading project teams.
• Experience with project management, proposals, and business development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; team player.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead transportation design teams and projects (roadway, drainage, traffic, preservation).
• Cultivate client relationships to support business growth.
• Coordinate with contractors and owners on construction staging and delivery.
• Mentor and develop junior staff; contribute to team growth.
