Bolton & Menk, Inc. seeks a Transportation Project Manager (PE) in North Carolina to lead design teams and advance our transportation practice. You will cultivate client relationships, manage highway design projects, coordinate with DOT, counties, and cities, and mentor junior staff.

As a Transportation Project Manager, you will lead design teams and assist with team development and business development responsibilities, advancing your career in a growing business line.

What You Will Be Doing

• Cultivate client relationships in dynamic markets to position for business growth.
• Utilize your expertise and project management skills on transportation project design and delivery, including roadway, drainage, traffic, and preservation design for DOT, counties, and cities.
• Work with contractors and owners to develop innovative approaches to construction staging.
• Lead junior staff and promote the growth of their technical skills.

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or transportation engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of North Carolina.
• 6+ years of highway design experience.
• Proven understanding of DOT design standards and AASHTO "Green" Book.
• Experience managing and mentoring staff.
• Experience with project management, proposal development, and business development.
• Strong working technical knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment.
• Strong active listening and team‑building skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
