Job summary

Jobot is hiring a Transportation Project Manager in the Indianapolis area for a permanent hybrid role. You will manage design and delivery of transportation projects across roads, traffic, transit, and pedestrian facilities.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering degree, a PE license, 6+ years of transportation PM experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation. You will coordinate with clients, contractors and agencies and ensure DOT compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • PE license is required.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation.
  • 6+ years of experience in transportation engineering with a PM focus.
  • In-depth knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations and guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Manage design and delivery of transportation projects on time and within budget.
  • Use AutoCAD and MicroStation for design and drafting.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and agencies for smooth project execution.
  • Prepare feasibility studies, cost estimates, and timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and guidelines.
  • Troubleshoot project issues throughout the lifecycle.
  • Lead and mentor junior engineers.

Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Transportation Project Manager to join our team. This is a permanent, hybrid position that will allow you to split your time between remote work and on-site activities. You will be working in a fast-paced environment where you will be responsible for managing and delivering various transportation projects. You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, including but not limited to, road and highway design, traffic engineering, transit projects, and pedestrian and bicycle facilities. This role requires a strong understanding of the Department of Transportation regulations, proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation, and a knack for problem-solving.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee the design and implementation of various transportation projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet all regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and MicroStation software for designing and drafting transportation projects.
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and government agencies, to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and prepare detailed reports on project specifications, cost estimates, and timelines.
  • Ensure all projects adhere to Department of Transportation regulations and guidelines.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Lead and mentor a team of junior engineers, providing them with guidance and support as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in transportation engineering, with a focus on project management.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations and guidelines.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and come up with innovative solutions.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment, balancing remote work with on-site activities.
  • Willingness to stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in transportation engineering.

Salary: $110,000 - $130,000 per year
