Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Highway Engineering Leader to build and manage a highway design group in Texas. This leadership role focuses on growing our Texas presence, hiring and mentoring staff, and guiding overall growth strategy across the state.

Requirements include 15+ years designing transportation projects, a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, and a Texas PE license with strong TxDOT knowledge. Travel to project sites and client meetings is expected.

Job Details

We have an immediate opening for a Highway Engineering Leader to help build and manage a highway design group within the Texas market. This role will be central to expanding our presence across Texas — hiring and mentoring staff, guiding the overall direction of our growth in the state, and supporting broader company expansion.

Leadership responsibilities

• Operating with integrity and sound business principles
• Business planning and strategy
• Establishing goals and growing/directing the roadway design practice
• Building and maintaining positive client relationships
• Open communication with partners and team

Requirements

• Minimum 15 years of experience designing transportation projects
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
• PE in Texas
• Strong knowledge of TxDOT policies and procedures
• Track record of developing and growing engineering groups and establishing internal/external relationships
• Ability to manage and mentor staff at all levels and direct resources effectively
• Ability to ensure quality and timeliness of deliverables and supervise execution of work
• Ability to travel to project sites, offices, and client meetings
