Brighton Solutions, Inc. invites an experienced Transportation Project Manager to lead a portfolio of transportation engineering projects in Northern Illinois. The role emphasizes managing schedules, budgets, and client relationships while mentoring engineering teams.

The position targets professionals with a PE license in Illinois, 7+ years of leadership in IDOT-related work, and a strong background in roadway and bridge design, with proficiency in MicroStation/OpenRoads and AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Illinois or reciprocal state to obtain Illinois licensure.
• 7+ years of experience managing transportation engineering projects.
• Strong background in IDOT roadway and bridge design projects.
• Experience managing and mentoring engineering staff.
• Knowledge of county and municipal transportation projects is highly preferred.
• Proficiency with MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer, and Adobe software.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus.
• Strong communication, organizational, and client relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple transportation engineering projects through IDOT I-III phases.
• Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams with technical leadership and mentorship.
• Develop and maintain relationships with public agencies, municipalities, counties, and clients.
• Support business development by identifying opportunities and pursuing strategies.
• Monitor backlog, workload, and performance to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
• Serve as primary client contact throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with IDOT standards and local agency requirements.
• Assist with proposals, project presentations, and client meetings.
