Job Description

CivilCorp, LLC, an ESP Company, is currently seeking a Transportation Project Manager to join our team in our Round Rock, TX location.

CivilCorp is a professional service firm offering civil engineering and land surveying services throughout Texas. CivilCorp’s main office is in Victoria, TX, with additional offices in Houston, Fulshear, Corpus Christi, and Round Rock.

Responsibilities:

  • Project management oversight.
  • Ensure project compliance with applicable federal and state laws, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Perform QA/QC of the work produced by other engineers.
  • Monitor resources and project status to successfully advance design efforts & deliverables.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with individuals and groups, both internal and external.
  • Prepare Plans, Specifications & Estimates (PS&E), preliminary engineering reports, schematic design, drainage design, and TCPs for roadway projects.
  • Perform and coordinate the review and processing of PS&E submission, special specifications, or provisions.
  • Develop and review engineering documents, reports, correspondence, and remediation plans.
  • Monitor sub-consultants' progress, work quality, check invoices, and prepare supplemental agreements as needed.
  • Interpret manuals and guidelines for traffic control plans/operations.
  • Supervise technical staff.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a recognized equivalent from an accredited program.
  • Professional registration (PE) within the engineering field, with the ability to obtain a Texas PE within 6 months.
  • 5+ years of experience in highway design and transportation engineering.
  • Experience in highway and freeway design projects (PS&E), including geometry, modeling with Bentley OpenRoads Designer, culvert and drainage design, retaining walls, and developables.
  • Proficiency in Microstation, GeoPak, and OpenRoads Designer (ORD).
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and highway design software.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently and in teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to pass drug screening, background check, and maintain a valid driving record.

Additional Preferred Skills:

  • TxDOT Precertification in relevant areas.
  • Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling.
  • Storm drain system design.
  • Ability to create ORD templates.
  • Experience with schematic development and TxDOT standards.
  • Strong client relationships in Central Texas.
  • Additional software skills like Civil 3D.
