Job summary

RK&K in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Transportation-Roadway Project Manager to join our team. You will lead highway design projects, review documents, and mentor staff on transportation design tasks across Charlotte and North Carolina.

The role requires 10+ years of civil/ transportation design, a NC PE, and proficiency in Microstation/OpenRoads. You will coordinate with clients, agencies, and sub-consultants and contribute to construction documents and cost estimates.

Qualifications

• Ten(10+) years of civil engineering design and/or transportation/highway engineering experience.
• B.S. in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Professional Engineer license in North Carolina.
• Experience with NC DOT projects and design criteria.

Responsibilities

• Lead transportation design projects in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Review and certify documents to meet QC standards.
• Analyze and develop alternative design solutions.
• Mentor junior engineering staff on transportation design tasks.
• Produce construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate internal and client meetings, and liaison with stakeholders.
• Direct project staff and sub-consultants.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and government agencies.
