Job summary

Stafford County Government is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the design, construction and management of multiple transportation projects in Virginia. You will assist with project coordination, construction oversight, budget tracking, consultant management and stakeholder communication to deliver impactful infrastructure improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business management, construction management, or related field.
• 4+ years of administrative support experience in fast-paced environments is preferred.
• 2+ years supporting construction or transportation project management or similar role is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project coordination and construction oversight.
• Track budgets and financial data; process purchase orders and invoices.
• Coordinate procurement and development of scopes of work and specifications for IFBs and RFPs.
• Prepare reports and maintain project status dashboards and records.
• Collaborate with county departments and external agencies to advance transportation projects.
