Job summary

Horner & Shifrin in St. Louis, MO, seeks a full-time Project Engineer with 5+ years of transportation experience to assist and lead project teams, develop engineering solutions, and deliver a thorough end product.

This role focuses on municipal, county, and state transportation projects and requires strong teamwork and communication. The ideal candidate holds a BS in Civil Engineering, may be a licensed PE, and is proficient with MicroStation, AutoCAD or OpenRoads; a valid driver's license and

Qualifications

Licensed Professional Engineer (preferred).
Ability to lead, manage and schedule staff to meet project needs.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with Missouri DOT and local municipalities (preferred).
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Valid driver's license.
Background check required.

Responsibilities

Resolve engineering problems and tasks with help from more experienced staff.
Perform transportation analyses and calculations.
Prepare and write engineering and other reports.
Work as part of a team on transportation engineering services for municipal, county, and state agencies.
Assist in the preparation of reports and feasibility studies.
Develop engineering plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E).
