Job summary

Univar Solutions USA Inc is seeking a Director of Transportation - Procurement & Systems North America to lead the cost and efficiency of our transportation network. You will guide procurement events, supplier relationships, and performance management while driving digital improvements and data-based decision making across the region.

The role requires 5+ years in supply chain leadership, strong negotiation and analytics skills, and experience with multiple transport modes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Transportation.
• MBA or related advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years in a supply chain leadership role.
• Skilled in supplier relations, carrier development, pricing and contract negotiations.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Experience leading multiple transportation modes (TL, LTL, Bulk, Intermodal, Rail).
• Experience with data analytics and systems (Tableau, Alteryx, Redshift).
• Ability to lead, develop, and coach teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead North America transportation procurement and systems initiatives.
• Manage a $260M total cost under management and 5+ billion lbs. of transportation volume.
• Oversee end-to-end North America RFPs across multiple modes and regions.
• Collaborate with IT to deliver system enhancements and data transparency.
• Drive KPI visibility, performance, and NPS improvements.
• Develop talent and lead cross-functional teams to achieve strategic goals.
