Job summary

Univar Solutions is seeking a Director of Transportation - Procurement and Systems North America. Lead the capacity management model, supplier relationships, and analytics to drive data-based decisions and enhance digital capabilities across ITS and North America.

The role directs end-to-end NA RFPs, stakeholder collaboration, and system enhancements to improve efficiency, SLA compliance, and customer experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Transportation.
• MBA or related advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in a Supply Chain leadership role.
• Experience with carrier development and pricing negotiations.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Experience managing multiple transportation modes (TL, LTL, Bulk, Intermodal, Rail).
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and lead teams.
• Experience with data analytics tools and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead North America transportation procurement and system initiatives.
• Manage total cost under management and ensure SLA compliance.
• Oversee end-to-end North America RFP processes across US/Canada/Mexico.
• Collaborate with IT to enhance systems and data availability.
• Set productivity goals aligned with strategic procurement principles.
• Drive data-based decision making and KPI transparency.
• Provide market insights to internal stakeholders.
• Develop and mentor transportation teams across regions.
