Job summary
Univar Solutions seeks a District Transportation Manager in California to lead the private fleet and carrier coordination across multiple sites. Qualifications
- High School Diploma, required
- Bachelor's degree / MBA strongly preferred
- 3–5 years of logistics/supply-chain experience
- HazMat and tanker transportation operations experience desired
- Multi-modal (TL/LTL) logistics; knowledge of DOT rules/regulations
- Budgeting (P&L) experience; SAP knowledge; strong negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and leadership; ability to influence across regions
- Willingness to travel ~75%
Responsibilities
- Private fleet dispatch optimization and cost management
- Route guide and lane management; negotiate with carriers
- Capacity management across near/mid/long term horizons
- Asset utilization and capital planning for fleet assets
- Lead and implement cost savings initiatives and procurement processes
- Collaborate with operations, commercial teams and regional DTMs
- Ensure regulatory compliance and carrier relationships are maintained
