Job summary

David Evans and Associates, Inc. is seeking a Transportation Project Manager to lead roadway, bridge, and highway projects in Idaho and Eastern Washington. You will manage scope, schedule, budget, and risk while guiding multidisciplinary teams and cultivating client relationships.

The role emphasizes leadership, quality delivery, and business development with a client‑focused approach to ensure successful project outcomes and growth for the Inland Northwest transportation practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineer licensure in Idaho and Washington within six months of hire.
• 15+ years of transportation engineering experience, including 3+ years as PM or design lead.
• Experience managing transportation projects for public agencies.
• Experience managing scope, schedule, budget, staffing, quality, and risk.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate across disciplines.
• Strong written, verbal, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Sound engineering judgment and client-focused approach.
• Commitment to quality, accountability, collaboration and staff development.

Responsibilities

• Lead transportation projects and pursuits for Idaho and Eastern Washington.
• Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, staffing, and risk.
• Monitor financial performance, invoicing, and profitability.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and subconsultants.
• Maintain proactive communication with clients and agency partners.
• Support business development, capture planning, and contract negotiations.
• Build relationships with state and local agencies.
• Mentor staff and develop career growth.
• Collaborate with leaders to align sales, backlog, and project delivery goals.
• Apply DEA project-management tools and quality requirements.
