Job summary

RK&K seeks a Transportation Project Manager to lead highway and roadway design projects in Virginia for VDOT and local clients. You will supervise a skilled team, oversee multi-modal transportation planning, and coordinate with clients and agencies across Virginia and beyond RK&K's portfolio.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in civil/transportation design, a PE license, and proficiency with OpenRoads Designer, MicroStation and InRoads, plus MS Office.

Qualifications

• Minimum of ten years of experience in civil engineering design and/or transportation/highway engineering.
• A BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
• Experience with OpenRoads Designer, MicroStation, InRoads and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-modal transportation planning and design projects for highway and roadway improvements.
• Review and certify plans, models and documents to meet quality standards.
• Develop interchange alternative studies and recommended designs.
• Mentor junior engineering staff on transportation design tasks.
• Direct project staff and coordinate with clients, sub-consultants and agencies.
• Prepare construction documents, cost estimates and presentations for approvals.
