Traffic, Planning, and Design, Inc. (TPD) is seeking engineers at all levels to join its transportation planning team in Delaware. Our candidate is eager to learn, collaborates well, and can handle multiple projects with strong attention to detail.

The role involves preparing trip generation estimates, roadway and parking analyses, reviewing field data, and using planning software to produce planning documents. Hybrid options may be available based on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related fields.
• Engineer in Training Certification Preferred.
• Experience utilizing Synchro, SimTraffic, Excel, AutoCAD/MicroStation (preferred but not required).
• Aptitude for detail-oriented work assignments.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work on multiple projects and meet multiple deadlines.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Experience with preparing traffic and parking studies in Delaware (preferred but not required).

Responsabilités

• Preparation of trip generation estimates, roadway volume development, parking estimates, and analyses for projects within the team.
• Assisting in the analysis of field data, reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, tests, and aerial photographs to plan projects.
• Obtaining, analyzing, and interpreting demographic and other regional transportation planning data.
• Use of computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and planning documents.
• Assisting in the preparation or modification of planning documents, including transportation impact studies, and traffic operational analyses, for projects.
• Assisting in the collection of field data.
• Serving as onsite project representative.
• Use of planning software and equipment to prepare engineering, design, and planning documents.
• Responsible for job-specific quality system tasks as defined in the quality manual or handbook.
• Responsible for other general office duties as may be assigned.
