Job summary

GEODIS is seeking a Transportation Planner to consolidate client orders into optimal load profiles and assign carriers using TMS. You will plan, route, and schedule all transportation modes while developing system parameters to drive loads and deliver results for clients.

You will respond to client needs, lead meetings, and negotiate with carriers to meet client parameters, ensuring on-time pickups and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of related experience and/or training.
• Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
• Excellent written and oral communication, planning and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Consolidates client orders into optimal load profiles and assigns carriers using TMS.
• Plan, optimize, route and schedule all transportation modes.
• Develops and implements final stage system parameters for load assignments.
• Responds to client needs via emails, calls, tracking shipments.
• Leads client QBR meetings and coordinates with GEODIS leadership.
