Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum 1 year experience in customer service or coordinator role
• Experience with Transportation Management Systems
• Experience with optimization tools preferred
• PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Access and Excel
• Excellent written and oral communication skills that demonstrate a proven ability to develop relationships with a range of internal and external customers
• Excellent planning and organizational skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to multitask

Responsibilities

• Consolidates client orders into optimal load profiles and assigns carriers using the Transportation Management System (TMS).
• Responsible for load planning, optimization, routing and scheduling of all transportation modes.
• Develops and implements final stage system parameters that drive load assignments and book hundreds of loads daily.
• Responds to client needs by email, calls, tracking and movement of shipments.
• Serves as the daily direct point of contact for client and issues requiring immediate attention.
• Negotiates with carriers daily within client parameters to achieve best financial outcomes.
• Monitors on-time pick-up and delivery based on daily reports.
• Creates, analyzes and presents weekly, monthly and quarterly financial and service reports.
