Qualifications

• Experience in trucking, logistics, or transportation management preferred.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations, FMCSA compliance, and HOS rules.

• Excellent communication with drivers, staff, and customers.
• Proficiency with transportation management software or dispatch systems is a plus.
• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
• CDL license or hands-on trucking experience is a strong advantage.
• Problem-solving mindset with quick, sound decisions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily transportation and fleet operations to ensure on-time delivery and compliance.
• Coordinate driver schedules, routes, and load assignments to maximize efficiency.
• Work with Lead Mechanic to monitor maintenance and DOT compliance.
• Serve as point of contact for drivers and provide operational support.
• Post schedule daily in company time keeping application.
• Assist with tracking vehicle registrations, permits, and driver files.
• Coordinate with other locations for transportation needs.
• Communicate with customers, vendors, and internal teams to schedule freight.
• Maintain records of fleet activity, fuel usage, mileage, and costs.
• Identify process improvements to increase fleet efficiency.
• Address issues like breakdowns or delays promptly.
• Assist in acquiring new vehicles and disposing of retired assets per policy.
• Coordinate annual vehicle physicals: DOT/state inspections and emissions.
• Maintain and order gravel, mulch, topsoil for yard.
• Draft quotes for customers and stay updated on pricing and permits.
• Adheres to company rules and regulations.
• Maintains good attendance and dependability.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
